The Farmington Fire Fighters Association, International Association of Fire Fighters Local 2850, created this beautiful Memorial to honor a fallen Brother, Shadd Rohwer. Rohwer was a lieutenant with the Farmington Fire Department and succumbed to his battle with cancer surrounded by his family and friends. “This memorial will be a lasting memory to represent our friend and brother in a place he was most passionate about.” said Travis Robinson, President of the Farmington Firefighters Association.” This memorial was constructed by his friends and co-workers, in Animas Park, to honor Lieutenant Rohwer, and we are extremely thankful for the outpouring of community support. ”I was very honored they chose one of my statues for the memorial. This video shows the construction of the Farmington New Mexico Memorial.

The Firefighters of Wheeling West Virginia created their memorial to honor the ten Wheeling Firefighters who died in the line of duty between 1868 and 1991. Bob Heldreth, spokesman for IAFF Local 12, said the memorial also honors firefighters who died from cancer related to firefighting. They chose to use my statue, Fallen Hero 2/3 Life Size, as the center piece of the memorial. Firefighters and local business came together to construct and fund this memorial as a tribute to firefighters past, present and future. Watch this excellent video of the construction process.
